Honey, I'm Home!
Since I had a little time today, I decided to fulfill a promise to post up a few pictures of my apartment.
Obviously, I'm still alone at home because Michelle will only be back from Melbourne later tonight so the pictures are gonna look a little stark.
This is our front porch (taken from inside the house cos I'm not one to muck around outside alone):
Our unit's car port is between the red and white cars. It's a tricky spot for our friends to manoeuvre into, between the two poles, but nobody's banged up their car yet:
The control panel for our alarm system. And a noisy alarm system it is:
Now let me start the walkthrough of our apartment. Note that we have three doors, one front door where Michelle and I always enter from, and two large side entrances accessed from the car port. One side entrance leads into my bedroom, and the larger one leads into the living room where we usually welcome our guests. Let's start our tour from this "guest's entrance".
Our Living Room. We'd like to thank Russell for helping us transport all our shit from Target, including that nifty red beanbag chair. I'm sure he had as much fun on that turntable as we did:
The abovementioned "guest entrance", our TV and another view of the living room:
An older picture of me slacking off on my Journalism paper, watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and looking through pictures of my thick-skinned mug:
The Dining Room, as seen from the lounge:
Our dining area, looking into the kitchen:
Our dining nook, the home of wonderful meals such as this lamb dinner. Michelle prepared this for us because I was working non-stop on my Journo paper and she took pity on me when she discovered that I was neglecting my meals:
Of course, you gotta have some nice mementos to create dinner conversation, and to hide the tissue box:
Between the living room and dining table is my workstation:
How could a workstation be complete without pictures of the family back home, and a postcard from Michelle in Melbourne?
Our favourite place, the kitchen:
My beloved spice rack:
And our wines from the Sandalford winery:
Our condiment and canned goods drawer:
Our, umm, pantry a.k.a. the drawer of food. Notice the stealthily hidden bottle of Malibu in the top-left corner:
Our bachelorette's fridge. We've been told it's abnormal for two women to have so much beer in the fridge. Pfft! I'd like to thank Sheeda & Mark for making that possible:
The corridor between the kitchen and the living room, leading to our bedrooms, the toilet and the bathroom:
First door on your right, my bedroom:
The second large entrance accessible from the carport, and my mirrored, 4-door wardrobe:
And the wonderful treasures my bed hides:
Second door to your right is Michelle's bedroom. Yes, she has a bigger room and bigger bed. But the entire living room is my study, therefore she can't watch TV when she wants to. So there!
Her jam-packed built-in wardrobe:
Her workstation by the window:
At the end of the corridor, the door to your left reveals our snazzy bathroom:
Our glass shower, still steamed up from the bath I just had:
The washer and dryer at the other end of the bathroom:
Last but not least, at the end of the corridor, is the most important place,
The Throne:
