Beware of the Boys

Our Shoes

As soon as Michelle and I found ourselves stranded when we missed the bus, we decided to make full use of the one-hour wait facing us along Barrack Street. And as usual, our solution comprised solely of going crazy with our cameras:

Murray Street

City of Perth Banner

Them Cops were scoffing at the nearby Subway when I used their squad car as my shiny new prop. Yes, Aussie cops don't eat donuts, they eat foot-long subs:

I hate that Pepsi ad in the lightbox because it barely makes sense. I think I make a good stand-in. Ha!

And later in the night, to top off our snap-happy frenzy, this *bloke actually noticed our antics and he briefly spoke to Michelle when I was using the disabled toilets in the *Maccas:

When it was finally time to catch the bus, he popped over for a short chat and soon offered to buy us drinks. We decided to go along because we were bored anyway and it turned out to be a pleasant experience. He was in Perth briefly for surgery and hails from the mines in Kalgoorlie. He used to live in Perth so he still knew his way around. We've got a new friend...
Paxton,
if you read this, holler at us when you get them stitches out.

Get aquainted with these Aussie terms, people:
* Bloke = guy
* Maccas = McDonald's
