Messy crop, tanned skin, eyeliner, tongue stud, leather stilettos. How else can you work it for everyone back home?

Some Other Spring

Woke up today at about 10am after receiving a call from my landlord asking permission to come repave the porch next week. He intends to redo the brickwork, the latticework and create a private area for our apartment so that we can put out lawn furniture. Just in time for this sunny weather we're getting, I say!

Still dreary-eyed from yesterday's late-night DVD session, I decided to have a no-brainer brunch consisting of buttered toasted English muffins, chicken soup, blackcurrant and pineapple juice, and the weekend paper, of course:
Sunday Brunch

After brunch, I threw some stuff into the laundry, opened up all the doors and windows and realised how warm a day it was; a first ever since Spring officially began in September. It was nice and sunny too so I decided to go out and snap some photographs of the flora that I've been meaning to capture for Mum. Better than going to Araluen Botanic Park anytime! And just so you know, these are the ones that can be found within the apartment complex alone, I didn't venture out further today because I was just too lazy to lock the place up...

This bright pink periwinkle is found just outside on my porch:

There's this huge pink rose bush just outside as well:

Walking out towards the main road, you'll find bunches of these white specimens in front of the "Authorised Vehicles Only" sign:

Looking out towards Canning Highway, you see this bottle-brush tree on the corner:

Those trees are scattered all over our compund and have these cute little fruits:

Down by our post boxes you'll find a row of interesting little shrubs like these yellow gems:

These tiny, white flowers:

And their purple compadres:

Walking towards the Milson Street access to our compound, you'll find other very interesting flowers like these yellow ones with their spiky leaves:
Yellow at Car Ports

These are the only blue flowers we have in the complex:

So thankfully they are sprouting along the length of 3 of my neighbours' car ports:

I found this fuchsia bunch hiding along the fencing:

And these white peonies are growing out of Unit 8's garden:

Outside Unit 3, you'll find these crinkly red ones sticking out towards the driveway:

And across from the red ones above, these pale maroon sprigs also reach out toward the driveway:

With these light coloured daisies, we commence the invasion of the purple fever:

A lavender bulb:

Blooming stalks of lavender; cute aren't they? It's even greater that they smell good too:

And royal purple daisies:

Finally, at the exit to Milson Street, you'll find these bright orange flowers:

Obviously, when it's a warm, sunny day like this, you wouldn't expect to be the only one to step out and catch some rays:

And don't expect to be left alone either; company tends to want to make conversation:

So here's a final goodbye from Jeb the Cat:
