Up, Up and Away!

I received a nice, happy bunch of balloons for my birthday.
They really cheered me up, especially since I was sick, and it was even nicer that they were weighted down by a can of much-needed vegetable soup!

Strangely, they haven't deflated fully yet.
I received them on the 7th of May, and look here, they're still going strong after 22 days:

Tonight was very interesting;
I had my hair permed in tight, silly curls for one thing cos I was bored shitless (no regrets either),
then I went prawning (or prawn fishing) with my best friend at 11 at night.

It's Been a Hard Day's Night

As so many of you have been asking me questions such as,
"Huh, what's a fashion stylist?"
"What do you do ah?"
"What happens at photoshoots?"
"Do you get to meet sexy models?"
I have decided to answer your questions with maybe a short, anecdotal look at what I do in my day-to-day work, primarily with selections from my library of pictures collected while mucking around at my shoots.
If this fails to provide insight or even answer some of your questions, I hope that at least it will provide a laugh, as it did with my sister.
And, as they say, a picture paints a thousand words; so I won't bother writing anymore since most people just want to look at the pretty pictures! Here we go:

It's not glamourous when you gotta style models and the clothes in the scorching heat, smack in the middle of a deserted carpark, and in a show vehicle with no air-conditioning:

But sometimes it gets better, for example, on a movie set, where you just have to sit back and watch the director do her thing:

Best of all, you get to see all the behind-the-scenes action and, of course, all the bloopers that come with it:

The best shoots come peppered with models that are just plain eye-candy, even when they are laying on bug-ugly sofas:

While there are some wonderful kids that can really brighten up your work day:

And not forgetting that it's always fun to have those that are willing to amuse you too:

In the end, work is most rewarding when you see your ad plastered on a billboard, in a language you will never comprehend nor master:

I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane

All arrangements have been made and the plan has finally been officially put into motion:
