Yeah!

Catarina, Michelle and I met up with Phil today to have lunch in Fremantle along the harbour. We chose to eat at Kaili's and I can't explain how good all that barbecued seafood was. YUM...

Phil then brought us to this place called Cold Rock for dessert. Cold Rock serves both ice-cream and gelato. What makes it so special is that you choose chocolate bars, M&Ms, nougat and even Tim Tams to be crushed into your ice-cream on this frozen block (a.k.a the Cold Rock). I got coconut ice-cream with Tim Tams and peanut M&Ms, Catarina got her Ferrero Rocher ice-cream with a Mars bar, Phil got his bubblegum ice-cream with Tim Tams and a chocolate bar, and Michelle got Oreos and nuts in her Ferrero Rocher/ Cookies & Cream mix:

Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?

The purpose of this post is just to boast about the fact that my housemate Michelle used to be hairdresser and she's just ridiculously good at braiding hair.

Pump Up the Jam

For those of you who were unaware, we live in a cosy two-bedroom apartment in South Perth along Canning Highway now. And there's a bar and restaurant called The Como about 500 metres down the road from us. It has an amazing restaurant with beautiful food, a nice bar and okay music. I have previously posted about this restaurant, and while that was the first time we visited that place, we have now become welcome regulars of both the bar and restaurant!

Take Me To the River

Michelle and I decided against going on this River Cruise because the Christian people were organising it and we were pretty sure there were gonna be horrid games again. And we were right. Catarina, our new housemate, had already signed up with Therese and Phil so here's the verdict:

I Love the Night Life

Last night was our Pub Crawl, another activity organised by the University. Basically, you go bar-hopping and get drunk. Nice concept, hey?

On the Pub Crawl bus, you start to intoxicate yourself by drinking white wine from a tap from a silver bag. It was cheap wine but any alcohol tastes good when it's free and coming out of a tap:

The Sand and the Sea

Today had us on our Twilight Tour, another outing organised by the Student Guild.
Some of the people from the Christian party were here, and even though I really thought I should be nice, I couldn't have cared less. I was nice to the ones that deserved the respect, the rest can kiss my arse. Especially the shithead who rushed Michelle and I off Cottesloe beach when we were still taking self-timed shots only to find that our bus driver had gone missing.
And no, the students weren't the ones that caused us to miss the sunset; it was bad planning on your part, Mr. Student Volunteer.

This is the crew on our bus. Check out the freaked out American boy in the back. Reminds me of the guy from the Moshzilla pictures circulating the internet.
Note to monkey boy in green t-shirt: It does not make u cool to show the finger, and doing it in the way Eminem has trademarked it does not make you any cooler. And Em is left handed so he's heaps smarter than you, you *Chinese fortune cookie:

After King's Park, we made the decision to have dinner with some newly-made friends. Amongst them was that guy Phil, from Sydney, Cristina and Arne, a couple from Norway, and Catarina and Therese, two girls from Sweden.
Funny thing was, Phil had a huge bunch of guy friends and there was this one called Francisco and he fucking deserved a slap in the face. He wanted everyone to eat where he wanted and even got verbally abusive to Therese for not liking Chinese food. Us girls decided that we would go somewhere else and left the boys to their Asian cuisine. Even Phil was fed-up and went off early to pick his friend up at the airport.

So two Norwegians, two Swedish, one Malaysian and one Singaporean decided to have Italian grub:

At the end of the night, we found out that Catarina had been made to wait for her dorm to be ready on campus. For any student, it is very unreasonable for the school to ask them to stay in the hotel for another week. So Michelle and I, being the good samaritans that we are, decided to ask her if she would like to stay with us for the next six days. We explained that she'd have to share the double bed with Michelle but she was totally cool with it. Definitely better than spending unnecessary money, I suppose. So now, we have a temporary Swedish housemate! I'll post some pictures of her soon.

Wherever I May Roam

Yesterday, we went on the International Student Committee's Discover Perth trip. The itinerary included Caversham Wildlife Park, the Sandalford Winery, the Margaret River Chocolate Company and AQWA (Aquarium of Western Australia).

It was all in all a very nice trip, except for the morning on the bus when Michelle and I thought we could catch some shut-eye, and ended up being rudely woken up to partake in a Meet-a-New-Buddy activity. Whoop-dee-fucking-doo!
Other than that, we had more fun than we expected and it was a good opportunity to get to know more people.
