Messy crop, tanned skin, eyeliner, tongue stud, leather stilettos. How else can you work it for everyone back home?

She Wants To Move

We went out for a nice bit of Italian last night to celebrate Michelle's birthday a week early. She'll be leaving for Melbourne tomorrow and will spend her actual birthday (2nd Sept) there.
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Behind Blue Eyes

We've been hanging out with Tim and his mates lately, but now that it's our Tuition Free Week (a.k.a. no classes so u can run amok) the bunch of them left for Bali today and I hope they're having heaps of fun!

So here's to Tim and the "International 9":

That'll Do Pig, That'll Do

An interesting day today.
Chris, my editor at PARAGON, has just informed us that he will be leaving this Thursday. Shock #1.
He asked me to assist the girl taking over his position. Shock #2.
I actually said yes. Shock #3.

So here I am, as a writer and Deputy Editor, writing my second food review for Pancakes at Carillon:

Final verdict: Musty interior. Excellent pancakes & crepes. The perfect foods to get fat on. It can't get any better than that.

Eat It!

Michelle and I are now writers for the International Student Committee's magazine PARAGON. Our first assignment: A food review for The Foundry Pub & Grill in Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre in Cannington. Free food and booze in exchange for a 300-word article? No problema!

Our Dessert Pizza; a sweet dough base with bananas, apricot, chocolate buttons, vanilla ice-cream and a strawberry. (They served this to us in apology of their fuck-up with my steak. I love being a food reveiwer.) Yum x 3, Brownie Points +3:

Final verdict: Good food, good music, great staff. Just don't fuck-up again alright? I won't be so nice the second time round.
Especially since I'll have to pay.

Smooth Criminal

Finally, photos from the Pub Crawl (and all other activites we didn't bring our cameras on) are coming into my inbox, in drips and drabs nonetheless.

So everyone, meet Tim:

He's another Curtin exchange student from Michigan, and my new friend.
A real barrel of laughs, incredibly adorable and indescribably sweet.

"I can see us becoming real good friends." Yes Tim, I totally agree.

Tequila Sunrise

Sambal Udang, Egg & Rice

Last night, Michelle and I had our dinner of sambal udang, fried eggs and rice before we popped down to Como for their themed Gangsters & Flappers night.
Como Flyer

As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the bar and restaurant staff dressed to the nines for the night. They even installed lamp posts in corners to give the place an old-school feel. It was a nice, simple, fun night.

The best dressed couple, in my opinion:
